Frequently Asked Questions

Do you pierce with a gun or a needle?

Neither. The piercing is done with a gentle, hand pressured device. The hand pressure device does not use a spring to push the earring through and needle piercings can be scary.

How long does it take to heal?

It takes about 6 weeks for a lobe piercing to heal and 12 weeks for a cartilage piercing to heal.

How long do I have to wait to swim after the piercing?

You should avoid swimming for 24 hours after the piercing and always clean your piercings after swimming. It is best to wait at least 1 week before swimming in freshwater sources such as lakes or rivers since they contain more bacteria than chlorinated pools.

What ages can you pierce?

Infants - Adults. As long as the infant has received their first TDAP shot then their ears can be pierced.

Will it hurt?

It will hurt a little, but numbing cream can be applied before the piercing to reduce the pain.

Is the jewelry high quality/nickel-free ?

Yes! All jewelry is high quality, nickel free and hypoallergenic. The metals are medical grade. I even used a nickel testing kit to verify that they are nickel free AND pierced my own ears with the same supplies on use on clients.
